Around 13. But, remember makeup is used to enhance. Use sparingly. Use natural colors that go best with your complexion. Worst mistake young girls make is over doing it on their eyes. You would like a polished flawless look. Some girls have a tendency to wear bright green or blue eye shadow. It doesn't in anyway look natural. Best thing to do is after applying your makeup, while looking in the mirror, put your hands over your eyes for a few seconds, when you take them away and look in the mirror, the first thing that jumps out at you has to much makeup on it so take a little off. When you take your hands away from your eyes nothing should jump out at you.

I started wearing light makeup such as a light natural shadow, a hint of blush and some lip gloss when I was about 12. At 14-15 I was wearing eye liner, mascara, foundation, lipstick, etc. I plan to stick to the same basic age range for my two daughters.

i'm from the philippines, and i started experimenting with makeup when i was 10 but didn't start actually wearing them till i was 15. i think it's okay to wear makeup when you're old enough to know that light and natural is the way to go.

I think it depends on the make up you want to wear.

In middle school (11-13), I think its appropriate to wear some power on your face, maybe a light shadow (and i mean light, natural colors) and some mascara. I think hold off on the eye liner and heavy mascara until you are a little older. Stay away from lipsticks too at that age, maybe just go for a gloss.

The more natural you look or the more natural you make your face look even with make up, at any age, the better!

Makeup is so overrated. Go as long as you can without wearing any because once you start you can't stop. The longer you go without wearing makeup the healthier your skin will be.

I'm 26 and I hate putting on makeup. I do but it sucks. I wish it were never invented. I'm the oldest of 5 girls and we all started at differnt ages even though my mom said 15. I started in 8th grade, 2 of my sisters started in 7th, and one of my sisters started in 11th and the other one just wears Mascara.

Personally I think 13 is a good age but take it slow.Theese girls that wear the black eyeliner and mascara to young look cheap and ask for unwanted attention from weirdos that like little girlsTake it slow and try to look natural. It looks more attractive.A little coverup were needed.A touch of bronzer on cheekbones and temples to give a sunkissed look.A touch of a soft blush on apples of cheeks and a light eyeshadow.Play around with color to see what looks best with your eye color. And a light or clear gloss looks nice. .

I started wearing a little bit of makeup when I was 13, which consisted of black/brown mascara and a nice colored lipstick and of course, a lipgloss.

i wouldn't say until 16. i started before then and got a lot of unwanted attention from older men. makeup is overrated, anyways. girls should only wear enough to cover up blemishes and stuff, and really light on eye makeup too, ya know, go for a more natural look.
