It's been done twice - Alex Smart in 1943 and Real Cloutier in 1979. Of course, Cloutier wasn't a rookie, having played several seasons in the WHA.

Tim O, Chris Oddleifson scored his 4 goal game in his 2nd year (against the Golden Seals so does it really count?).

He also didn't score any goals in his first year in Boston

Chris Odliefson scored four goals in his first game for the Bruins. I think it was his first game. Chris went on to play for the Vancouver Canucks.
