You are 100% ccorrect. I never did figure out why we "fall" in love. It may be a caution sign or as you so aptly put it, a "warning" of possible things to come. One of my nieces was getting ready to marry a young man whom I did not think was "right" for her, I made a prophetic statement before the wedding. " Remember darling, that marriage is the first step to divorce". I was right. The marriage did not last
because they were in "lust" and not in " love." .They divorced, ultimately remarried different people and are as Happy as if they were in their right minds. Of all the emotions which we have, "Love" is the most complicated one of all,. On the one hand, it is the happiest emotion of them all, and on the other, it can destroy happiness, a family; a persons confidence and ultimately, it can literally break ones heart.

That's a very good question and I think it should be a warning because of that, since my love life has never been grand.

Love falls and rises and vice versa constantly in the battle of life and love.

For those that allege that they have never seen people gloating about others going to hell, I suggest they look at the thousands of the questions and answers on R&S that express this. I would also suggest they take an objective look at sermons given in evangelical, fundamentalist churches. In either case, those that do it would be hard pressed to consider their behavior as anything other than "loving" - after all, they are "stating the truth to scare you out of hell".

Yes, fell and I still watch the carnage from below, dumbfounded, and she attempts to fill the void quickly, after 8 years and a child- here I am, deep breaths.

I much prefer the swelling inflation of love. Conversely falling is more appropriate for there is the danger of crashing.

Love is one of the few things in life that is not...

A small thing...

You've heard..."Don't sweat the small things...and guess what...almost everything is a "small" thing...

But love is one of those things that is NOT a "small" thing...

It's probably the "biggest" thing there is...

So the "warning" aspect comes with the wisdom of knowing that to embark upon a "big" thing with non-chalance and without caution, is...

Foolhardy...

"Love" is huge...proceed with utmost caution...and trepidation...

Enthusiasm...yes...

Foolish "rushing in..."

No...
