Sure, my first kill I took a bite of the liver. It was gross and of course I spit it out, but dad taught us that's how it's traditionally done so I did it. I've never hunted with a new hunter before to see if anyone made or suggested they do it so maybe I was fooled into lol but it was an experience. Learning to hunt for your own food, spending quality time with family, and dressing out a 6 pointer on a cold morning with your bare hands and a knife... that's living.

I wouldn't dream of killing a deer or any other creature, I don't believe in killing innocent animals for sport or fun.

I've never killed a deer and I don't ever plan on it, unless I accidentally hit one with a car.

No, I cook it first! Yum, yum, yum, I love heart/liver!
I used to be able to degut 'em and skin 'em out pretty good too! Isn't it interesting how when the guts plop on the ground they still continue to move around a bit!
