I've been a Texans fan since they started, but still haven't seen a winning record, and now they are looking better than their previous years, and they actually have a winning record going into their 6th game, with a lot of key players injured. Anyways, I think they have a chance, but they're still in last place in their division.

The games against Jacksonville and Tennessee will be a gut check for them. The did beat the Jaguars twice last year; it would be nice if they can do that again.

The AFC South is the most competitive division in the NFL this year. The Colts are still the best team out of that division, but it's possible that the 2 AFC wild card teams will come out of the same division, so they have a shot. The Texans need to have Andre Johnson healthy and back in the lineup soon.

But they'd be in first in the West, which is kind of weird.

The next four games (all before their bye) should be a good indicator of whether they're a playoff team or not. 3 on the road, 2 in division, and all against teams that are either .500 or better or playoff contenders (@Jacksonville, Tennessee, @San Diego, @Oakland). You'd have to think they have to win at least 2 of those to stay in striking distance, which would put them at 5-4. This year, with there being some really good teams as well as some really bad ones in the AFC, 10-6 may not get in. Having 5 losses before their bye would pretty much put them out of playoff contention.

Maybe, hard to say at this point. They are definately better than they have been, they look like a pretty good team.

Although they are a better team this year, their division is just to tight and to talented for them to make the playoffs. good luck ..........
