I am employed in a company on 3 year limited contract on husbands visa.I was hired here as an engineer but i am asked to do non-technical work on a day to day basis.Can i resign on this grounds and join another company or i give another reason like ill health for the resignation?Is there going to be a ban or something for me?I have been working in this company for 1.5 years.

A ban is implemented by the labour department or by the immigaration department.

When you resgin a 3 years contract before you fullfil it, it's breaching the Labour Law and you will receive a ban. But - because you are under your husband's sponsorship, your residence visa will not be affected. By breaching the Labour Law your new employer might not be able to apply for a new Labour card for you.

Best thing to do: try to find an amicable solution.

Depends on the policies of the 2 companies, ask your company about the legal procedures and then ask the company you think you might or you want to join, but do this only when you are sure that you found the other company which will accept you
