Definitely. Everyone in my family does - it's been years since I called any of my 3 sisters by their real names. Other people think that's weird but to us it's just normal to come up with unusual nicknames for each other. It's much more fun because you get a new name every couple of years or so!

The online one has actually been my nickname since school. There were four others in my class with the same name as me, and given that I was of a gothic persuasion, my form tutor nicknamed me Morticia. It got shortened to Tish and has been me ever since :o)

Not very flattering, but they guys I used to work with said I looked like a monkey, so called me Cuddles...
Bizarrely, I later found out my mother also had a monkey related nickname - we are the missing link!
