NIce hot shower. It'll let down the milk and relieve some of the pressure.

And since you're not nursing, you can have whatever pain relief you want. Even a drink, if you're allowed.

I had to stop cold turkey once - it'll be over in a couple of days.

when i stopped breastfeeding with my first child my breast felt like a bag of rocks. the pain was so bad. what i did was hot compressions. i took a wash cloth let it sit under HOT water squeeze out the excess water and let it sit on my breast. then every five minutes i would squeeze some milk from my breast. you have to get some of the milk out because you don't want your milk to back up or it will hurt like Hell! my best advice try to manually squeeze out the milk and do it like every five minutes and the hot compression. your breast are going to continue to hurt until some of the milk comes out. hope this helps

For temporary relief, you can pump some milk out to relieve the pressure of build up, but you really need a prescription to dry up the milk. See a doctor ASAP!

Hot compress helps!
Try not to express as this makes it go on longer as your breasts will think they need to produce more milk!!

I managed to get milk tablets off the interenet as you cant get them via doctors anymore. Do a search, but please take them to a pharmasist / doctor before taking them if you get them off the internet just to be safe!!

You need to go to the Dr. and get something that will dry you up. If you don't , you could get an infection, and that really hurts. Call first thing in the morning, and tell the nurse what is going on, they might call something in for you without going in.
