some look to be school age.or does the home team supply batboys for the visiting team?how much do they get paid?always been curious about this.

Actually - some do. During the postseason, the visiting team usually supplies their own, which usually is a child of an older member of the team (usually high school age). In 2005, Ozzie's kid was a batboy for the postseason. During the regular season, the Sox had the same guy (he was 23) as visiting team batboy all season.

They don't travel with the team. The home team provides the bat boys.
