I am the 1990-91 Iraq War negotiator http://peacenegotiator.blogspot.com. I am a loyal American. I wish that what I have to say about the Iraq War could be published in every newspaper around the entire world. I am an idealist and Christian (former Muslim) and all I see on the Internet concerning Iraq is either outright lies or US government propaganda. Sometimes, many times, our government lies and tries to shut out the truth. Good people are killed, murdered, along the way, loyal Americans and agents, who are trying their best to foster pure goodness in this world. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN GOODNESS and the saving of American lives???

This is not the ordinary Yahoo posting, like the many I've seen here, where you guys post for fun and points.

I am very much interested in getting people together and having us solve some of the problems that our nation faces.

This is a very difficult question because the answer is very harsh and difficult for some Americans to face.

The real truth buried deep in most American's hearts is they do not really care about true justice in Iraq. Oh sure they feel a little bit of sympathy, etc... and even sometimes feel sad while they are watching that 30 second news clip of dead children from a USA aerial bomb in Iraq...

Most of my fellow Americans can not admit their true feelings even to themselves...

The testosterone Americans seem to only think about the way '... America is kicking butt...' Not stopping to think for half a second about the 1 million innocent Iraqis that are now dead directly and indirectly at the hands of our USA invasion.

It's sad. I was in the Army in the 80s and served my country. I believe in helping allies and protecting my great nation; BUT, I have lost ALL faith in most of my country's citizens. What the USA has done is wrong... it is WRONG! Saddam was contained... he had no WMDs.... he was not a threat to us... the Iraqis were not asking to be liberated....

I literally feel dirty when I think about my tax dollars going towards paying for this immoral war.

I was watching a news program awhile back on CNN. It showed this Iraqi woman packing her young son and daughter into a neighbor's car after her house had been shot up by US troops the day before. Her daughter was around 5 years old and the camera looked her straight in the eyes. Something was there... I could see the fear in that child's eyes... I cried for 2 days. TWO DAYS... I couldn't seem to shake it off and still can't... tears come to my eyes now and I can still see that little girl's face...

WHERE IS THE JUSTICE....

Americans are so divided on this issue i am not sure they will ever agree on anything. more than anything that has ever happened in our history this war has caused a rift between our people. i see the damage we have caused to Iraq and it shames me. in my opinion no reparation will make up for this destruction. the Iraqi people will never trust or respect us no matter what we do. they do not want us there and we should not be there. the time for peace was just after 911 when we had the support and sympathy of the entire world but we chose war instead. we should have investigated the crimes of 911 until it was clear who in fact perpetrated the acts, gone after bin laden if it were found he was the culprit and we would have had all the help in the world to stop terrorism. we chose the low road and now are hated worldwide and rightly so. i pray every day for the innocent Iraqis and their plight and for our soldiers who are unnecessarily in harms way and for a just end to this war. thank you for your peace efforts

Do I accept as true with a statistic? this is an fairly stupid question. My answer is "no", i've got not got self belief that unlawful extraterrestrial beings are killing precisely 12 individuals an afternoon. in factor of actuality that all of us got here from different countries initially, except you're a community American, and who're we to place regulations on who else can come and prosper right here? The humorous factor is that an undesirable lot of those Republican anti-immigration nutjobs are professing to be Christians, and what would desire to be greater rightious than telling human beings to stay in thier very own impoverished united states of america, go through, and die so as that we are able to have slightly greater elbow room. while you're heavily worried that illegals are killing greater of those "rightful" individuals than this pointless and greed fueled conflict why do no longer you propose something clever, like combating the conflict and spending the billions of greenbacks that finally end up in Haliburtons wallet on fixing our poverty subject via coming up jobs and investment classes for whoever needs to be a effective component of our society.

The US government must be transparent about what is really happening in Iraq. The media must be freely allowed to print or broadcast the real situation in Iraq particularly what the Iraqis really want about the government that they want and the oil industry that they want to control.

I think the best way to save American lives is by going after the people who want to kill Americans, the terrorists.
