Going to "chat sites" is ok when you are wondering whether or not you will like chats. But once you get a specific need then you need to find a site that is along that line, which might have a chat for its own members.

The quality of conversation tends to be better. More focused. And you get less people wandering in just to look around. Or toss out off the wall comments then leave.

Because most of us are "Shallow Thinking". Try www.ted.com for some good lectures. It's not a chat-room but has "Deep Thinking" discussion.

well... because most people are about as deep as an ashtray, when it comes right down to it. R&S isn't bad... look around some of the other categories. check singles and dating if you want to compare;

''like, whoa, my bf is totally cheating on me and like, i don't know what to do and there's this other guy and he's really hot and i kinda like him but anyway my bf is a jerk but i love him and the girl he's cheating on me with thinks she's all that but she's totally a skank whore or something but she thinks she's hot. should i like, break up with him and stuff so i can get with this other guy or something?''

stick with R&S.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DEEP THINKING CHAT ROOM YOU FOOL!

seriously though chat rooms are just for wierdo's without a social life...... just like yahoo answers. :-)

I guess that make me a wierdo.

People don't do "deep thinking" while they're on the internet.

R&S is a perfect example of what people use the internet for. :)

I think you've found one here on R&S!
