I am having some problems with stress and work and general stuff at college. I am able to talk to my teachers (open up to them) about what is happening, but i feel i cant open up to my parents. Is this bad?

depends on the problem u r facing, coz if ur problem is disclosed to any one, and then reaches to ur parents indirectly they might feel bad because of ur ignorance.

so try to tell them if possible.

take care

good luck

No its not bad but you will need to speak to them eventually. Try starting the conversation by asking them how do they deal with stress? What do they do to make themselves feel better? Then tell them whats going on with you and see if they can help. Whats the worst that could happen.

Sometimes our parents expect a lot of us. We tend not to want to let them down. If you can not talk to them, write them a letter explaining why you feel that way. It is always easier to say when you can sit and think through your thoughts.

No, this is normal.

Your parents have high expectations of you and you don't want to disappoint them, and you think they will not understand your feelings anyway. Trust me - your parents have experienced the same problems for themselves and they will understand much more than you think.
