Well faith is belief without or despite evidence so why would someone who has faith even care about evidence?

I've noticed many religionists will willingly use a disproven or outdated scientific claim or urban myth to loudly 'prove' that all of science is 'nonsense'. They do this without the merest hint of discomfort.

That, in itself, exhibits a staggeringly poor knowledge of the nature of science and a callous disregard for evidence. Although using mythical and worthless 'evidence' to drive one's agenda is kinda intrinsic to religion when you think about it.

I do find it interesting, in a ghoulish sort of 'watching a car crash' way.

This is what I find interesting:

1. They will willingly quote pseudo-science as 'evidence' FOR their religion and AGAINST everything else.

2. They will REFUSE rigorous, working science and call it 'SATAN' or somesuch, for a looooong time until they finally give in and adopt it into their culture (evolution, round Earth, earth revolves around the sun, flu vaccinations work by studying evolution of viruses etc, etc)

3. They will use nonsensical quotes such "Your eye didn't form from nothing so Christianity is true!" or "The Qur'an is scientific it says that mountains hold the earth together so Islam is true"

Some people just say this stuff!! They lack the rigour and inquisitive minds required for processing evidence. Faith is the word on their lips and in place of their minds...

Christians don't even WANT evidence -- they fear it. WHY?

Why would I follow the false messiah known as Jesus?

He failed and violated the prophecies.

http://www.jewsforjudaism.org lists all the prophecies he failed and even out-right BROKE.

Eff Jesus, and Eff the evil spirit which empowered him if he was empowered at all.

There IS scientific evidence for Christianity being true. Just look all around you. Look at how complex life is. Your eye did not form from nothing did it? Also, there is archeological evidence for the Flood. Noah's ark has actually been located in a mountaintop. There is evidence, it's just that non-Christians ignore this and ONLY pay attention to evidence that does not support it.

And even if there was no science to back this up, we have faith. The feeling from the Holy Spirit is undeniable. Read the Bible. Pray. You will know that it is true. Let yourself have faith. Just trust in God and allow Jesus to be your savior.

Yes, it is really funny that religions do not need to be proven. The responsibility lies with those who don't to prove it otherwise.

It just goes to show that:

"When one person suffers from delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from delusion it is called Religion."

Yep, and the answers to anything are crazy! They are taught not to question (because they'll find out their religion is fake), and blindly believe ("just believe in god..."). BLIND faith leads them. If there were a god, would he want them to question everything?
