I suffer from hypothyrodism and I have been on a medication called "Thyroxine" for years now. You shouldn't medicate your daughter, the dose of the medication should reflect the result of the test. I am on a 75mcg per day, she may need 50 mcg or more or less. This HAS to be determined by her GP. Take both your girls back to the doctor, they NEED to go on the correct medication with the correct dosage.

The medication for Hypothyroid is called Synthroid, levothyroxine, or thyroxine. I do not know what medication is used to treat Hyperthyroid.

Don't ask me. Ask your doctor. They would know. If you can't get to a doctor ask some one who is diagnosed with it. But the easiest way would be to ask your doctor.

if they have it and was diagnosed by a doctor they would have perscribed the medication.
