Right portion of my neck, just below the head, is paining a lot. It may be due to bad sitting posture at work. Want to get rid of it immediately. Any immediate solution?

If you are on a computer good part of the day, this may be your culprit. You need to have the monitor level with your vision so you are neither looking up or down. For me, this meant getting a chair that could be raised. When you constantly have your neck looking up or down (it's usually up) it can create neck muscle spasm and even headaches. Make sure your not straining to reach your keyboard either.

Exercises---Tilt your had left to stretch and hit your shoulder---hold this for as long as you can, repeat the same procedure with your right side. You should feel a good strecth---but it should not hurt.
Tilt your head back and hold it for 20 secs.

Massage your neck muscles by primarily using your thumb and two fingers. It it hurts to do this massage it lightly just to break up some of the spasm you may have. Find the tightness and massage it in a circular motion. You may also go to a professional masseuse and have them work on your neck as well as your shoulder muscles.
(Quite often when there is a sore neck, there is bound to be tight shoulder muscles)

Alternate using an icepack with a heating pad. This will relax your neck and also reduce any swelling that there may be.

When you drive, again make sure your neck is alligned and you are not slouching---Use the neck rest at the back of your seat.

At night, only use 1 pillow! If you sleep on your stomach, try to lie on your side. When you put more then 1 pillow under your neck it can further strain the muscles.

Bengay or Tigerbalm will make the pain seem like it has lessened, but it is won't fix the problem.

You may also want to try Tylenol to bring down some of the inflammation.

I've had neck pain for years and years. The advise given above is that which has been given to me by Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Doctors and Massage Therapists.

You have to work at it. With time, you will start to feel much better. If you start having increased pain or symptoms like tingling in your fingers or hands---then it would be time to consult an MD.

Good Luck to you.

Sitting on your desk the whole day may affect your neck. try to make your computer be at the same level of your neck so it is in the right position. Staring down at your phone might be affecting your neck as well. try to stretch your neck for a few minutes a day and keep your head straight when working/staring at your phone. There is also a smart wearable called Upright that will vibrate every time you slouch to remind you to stay actually sit Upright

Try http://painbalm.net/ it worked very well for me, it worked in minutes and soon my pain was gone period. I fell off a ladder and that impact caused long term neck issues. I liked that this was 100% natural and worked right away. I hate taking drugs before Pianbalm and to my surprise PainBalm worked far better, faster and longer than any man made synthesized compound I have ever had.

Go to a physiotherapist. You may require some traction. After that you will have to do regular neck exercise to avoid recurrence of the pain.
