Well, there's no sure-fire way to get a girl to like you, since there are as many girls in the world as there are stars in the sky...okay, maybe not that many, but you get the point. The best answer to your question that I can think of is this: be yourself.

Yes, it is a clichéd answer, but bear with me. Let's say you use some sort of subterfuge or mimicry of some sort to impress this girl. She is duly impressed but later finds that you are not what she thought you were and begins to resent you for it. Furthermore, she's not liking you, but an image of you.

The best you can do is get on her radar by making yourself known to her, talk to her more, and perhaps do a couple of things for her before making your intentions known. The most important part is getting her to notice that you are there. After that...well, you wing it just like everybody else does.

Be upfront, be yourself, and let her get to know you. The rest has a tendency to work itself out.
