I do not mean to offend you but your questions are illogical and make no sense to me.
Why compare the Bible with the Rosary? They are two different things. The Bible is about salvation history while the Rosary is a device which helps us pray. You are not comparing apples with apples here.

The Bible is a collection of books about God's relationship with Man and man's response to God. The Rosary is a devotion in which we reflect upon events in the lives of Jesus and Mary while asking Mary to pray for us.
The connection between the two is that the events that a person reflects on while saying the prayers of the Rosary are found in the Gospels of the New Testament.
The Rosary is a way of bringing the Gospels into the prayer life of a person. They compliment each other. It is not a quesion of which of the two should be used. Both should be used together because they go together.

The Rosary is not a book, it is a prayer/meditative practice, usually but not always prayed with prayer beads (a Rosary) to help count repetitions of set prayers. It can be prayer alone, or in groups. The Bible translation most recommended for Catholics in english is the RSV, the Revised Standard Version- Catholic Edition.

You people who have no idea what the Rosary is should not be saying anything, it just shows your ignorance. Just go try and interpret your Bible some more by yourself. If you really read the Bible you would see were the prayers in the rosary come from and understand why it is prayed. It is apparent that you like to claim you know what the Bible teaches when really you see only what you want to see in it and then try and convince others that your interpretation is correct.

1) roasry is a prayer, a meditation of Christ's life. check out the scriptural rosary until you get familiar with it. this rosary has scriptures to be read before each prayer - allowing you to understand on what you are meditating. peple have commented about it being vain repitition - sure it can be, but then you're not praying.
2. we use one book - the bible
3. funny but i almost hear sarcasim in this statement - i hope i am wrong. Catholics are obedient to God alone. the rosary is based on scriptures and a walk through Christ's life - the glorious, joyful, sorrowful & luminious. the rosary, when understood is a "mini" bible - a way to keep it with you - the most focal points - that being the life of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ!

Millions of professed Christians have never given any serious thought to their use of the rosary. They have taken it for granted that there is nothing objectionable about counting prayers with a string of beads. They believe that this is a Christian practice.
Truly a tremendous amount of repetition is involved in saying the rosary. To go through the fifteen decades of the rosary calls for saying the “Our Father” or “Lord’s Prayer,” as recorded at Matthew 6:9-13, fifteen times. The following words of the “Glory be to the Father” are likewise said fifteen times: “Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.” Ten times as often the words of the “Hail Mary” are spoken: “Hail, Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”
Is such repetitious saying of prayers in agreement with the Bible? Note what Jesus Christ said: “In your prayer do not rattle on like the pagans. They think they will win a hearing by the sheer multiplication of words. Do not imitate them.” Matt. 6:7, 8.
Is not the saying of the rosary a “sheer multiplication of words”? Does it not imitate the pagans who were using the rosary long before professed Christians began to do so?
There can be no question, therefore, that the use of the rosary is unscriptural. It is out of harmony with Jesus’ words about prayer and is contrary to the admonition to “worship God” alone. Instead of continuing to use the rosary, persons seeking divine approval need to make heartfelt expressions in prayer to God through his Son Jesus Christ.

Rosary= little necklace with beads and a cross each bead stands for a prayer you must say for penance I don't remember the exact lineup but lets say it goes 5 white beads 1 black 5 white 1 black etc......... each white bead would be a hail mary and then the black would be a our father.
so to recap not a book but a necklace, and the book (bible) is slightly different than the King James version.

The rosary is a string of beads commemorating the stations of the cross and you pray at each bead. It is not a book.
