Why do you need prayer? Doesn't God already know they need rain?

Also, are two prayers better than one? If so, are they twice as good?

Presumably having a whole congregation praying could save you weeks (personally). Does closing your eyes make your prayer more powerful? If you fast before praying, does this add potency to your prayer?

What are the likelhoods of your prayer being answered. We know that many valid prayers (say over children dying of cancer) don't work. What will you do to make yours work?

People might read this and think that prayer will get them something. That would be missing the point. Trust in God, and the prayers would mean something. Otherwise, they are only prayers.
