I don't believe marijuana is mentioned in the Bible.

i don't think marijuana could have been mentioned in the bible because did the people of that time have marijuana.
but the bible clearly says that in
Proverbs 23:20 be not among winebibbers
proverbs 23:21
proverbs 31:4
although these few versus out of a lot specifically speaks about wine you can apply drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana to it and read.
the bible has never banned a thing but it clearly states what is wrong and the consequence of it. because god has given free will to man to decide what he wants but you'll have to give account of what you've done on the day of judgement.
hope you won't be pulled by the earthly lust and fall into trouble

I studied religions for over 10 yrs. & I do not recall any passage, text, etc. banning it. Different denominations may have their own beliefs on the subject.

ADD- Pot is NOT addictive. There has never been a proven case of addiction. Science & gov. know this, most of the population knows this. No need for propaganda. I can't tell if he's kidding, but mary jane in coke? WTF?

Doctor, who said it had to be smoked?

I live with Christians who smoke dope. Being a Christian does not mean you are perfect, it means that when God says something, you believe it.

There is nothing that says that you cannot smoke dope in the Bible. It does allude to things like that not being a smart thing to do, but it doesn't way that if you do them, you cannot be saved.

Christianity is not what a lot of people think it is. It's about trusting God. Whether we smoke dope or not, we can be saved.

Who cares. The bible used to commonly get printed on hemp. Use it medicinally and meditatively. Some churches condone it.

in 1 corinthian 6:19-20 says or do you not know that your body is the temple of the holy spirit who is in you, whom you have from god,and you are not your own.for you were bought at a price;therefore gl orify god in your body and your spirit, which are gods.we may not find a banne in the bible but we must know that god has given each one a will to decide.it's either you decide to your will or to god's will.remember your body is the temple of god.

yes, by the word of god

lets see genesis 1:29
and god said:"see i have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

and I'll tell you why it's not healthy for a human being to use marijuana

1) our body was not created to inhale smoke that's why it affects us
2)your answer is in 1 Corinthians 6:19
your body is the temple of the HOLY GHOST which is in you and you are not your own therefore glorify god in your body and in your spirit.

and I'll tell you why the bible does not talk about smoking directly.
it's because smoking did not become common world wide until the Europeans came to America about 1500 years after the bible was written.

besides that if you are like Christ(christian) you want to do what Jesus did and we don't see him smoking anywhere in the bible.

god bless

The Bible says to obey the laws of the land you live in - except when those laws violate God's laws. "Should I obey men or God?" The law, just or unjust, bans it and prosecutes it. The biggest problem is that it is addictive, and many steal to buy more. Did you know that marijuana was used originally in CocaCola? Why do you think its called coke, eh? lol
