So I have a HUGE problem. My friend Katie and I have been best friends for a really long time. Well a few months ago, we moved in together and ever since then, we've grown alot in our friendship. It's getting to the point though where it's kind of annoying how close we are. Like there's this other girl, Kristen, that we have both been best friends with all throughout high school...well Katie has gotten to the point where she gets jealous if Kristen and I are hanging out without her, or she gets mad everytime I go somewhere and don't invite her to come....even if I come home and come in my room without telling her hey she thinks something's wrong. Confronting her about this problem is out of the question, b/c I know I would hurt her feelings and she'd cry because she has SEVERE depression, in a serious matter. I love being friends with her and stuff, I just feel like there has to be some way to handle this problem...any ideas?

Your friend has severe issues. If it was me I'd move out, because youre not a psychiatrist and the lady needs counseling. You should try to have a talk with her and tell her you didnt move out of your parents home just so you would have to answer to someone else. She needs to understand you are an independent lady free to be friends with who you want and that just because she is not always included in something does not mean you dont value her just as you always have.
Personally people like her scare me because they are really messed up in the head. She needs to see a doctor and I think you should find a new roomate or live on your own so youre not having to babysit a sick lady all the time. Its not mean to distance yourself when something is beyond your control. This is a problem you cant handle alone.

It seems that sitting down and talking this over with her would be a place to start. She's got something going on and so do you. Work it out together.
