No for one reason. Ive never met a dentist who cared about your teeth all they care about is money. Ive met numerous doctors willing to work with you.

I sure do ~ especially when they have sharp pointy instruments in their hands!
Seriously, I have suffered from bad teeth all my life, due to medications given to me while I was an infant when the long term affects of such things were not known.
While I have known some less than caring dentists, the fact is if it was not for them, I would have suffered mightily over the years!
The same with doctors ~ some are good, some not so, but when it's life and death you don't call a neighbour, you call a doc!
Cheers :-)

To me, Dentists just seem a bit more rude. They use all their little lingo in front of you with no respect to your privacy. For the nurse to tell the doctor that the patient has poor dental hygiene like you aren't even there, is like the nurse at a doctor's office saying "Yeah, they are still fat.". They always tell my daughter to only drink water, because juice is bad for her teeth. Um, excuse me, but please don't limit my daughter's nutritional choices. I want her to drink juice. Lots of juice. That is what kids do. And they say to drink diet soda. Again, shes not old enough to drink diet soda, it contains chemicals that are bad for her BODY. I would rather she get a cavity then stunt her growth with all the junk in diet soda.
It seems like the bottom line is they are out to make money. If they don't find a cavity, they always want to paint her teeth with sealant or make molds of this or that. A normal doctor never finds extra proceedures to do just because when she has a regular appointment. So no, I don't respect dentists as much. A specialized doctor should still have the well-being of the patient as their top priority, not the small section of the body they specialize in, and to hell what side effects it has on the rest of their patient.

Yes, I respect them equally. After all both a medical degree and a dental degree are at the doctorate level so you know they know their stuff and have worked very hard to get where they are.

Yes!both doctors and dentists are trained to ameliorate the health problems of clients that patronise them as per their fields of specialisation. Both are equally important to the patients who require their services.

Sure I do! Those people have all worked very hard to become what they have all just to help me and my family. The least I can do is be respectful to them.
