Why do guys take "just friends" the wrong way..isn't it better then nothing at all? I don't get it...I tell guys I just want to be friends and they run away after I told them I am totally in love with another guy!

Here's a secret/truth about men that a lot of women just don't seem to get: Guys are only friends with girls we want to sleep with. It's that simple! The exceptions are if he's gay or they have a brother/sister kind of relationship.
I'm going to sound like a complete jerk here, but I'm being 100% truthful.... No, "just friends" isn't better than nothing at all because to us guys"just friends" equates to "no chance of ever getting any." And "no chance of ever getting any" means you're not worth the hassle of dealing with your BS.

Sorry, but the truth isn't always nice..

You've got things backwards. If someone says he never gets angry with you ( and he's being truthful ), it generally means that he doesn't care about you sufficiently even to get angry when you do something annoying; you're not important enough.

Sometimes guys will have non-romantic relationships with friends who happen to be girls but it usually comes from growing up together so it's like being siblings. The most common situation in which a girl can have a male friend who is just a friend while she is "totally in love with another guy" is when the friend is gay.
