It's my house, my property. If I want to I can answer my door wearing my cowboy double gun rig, with my bandoleers crossed on my chest, with my rifle slung on my shoulder and my double barrel shotgun in my hand.

I doubt that you could answer your door naked. Probably violate some ordinance about keeping the neighborhood pretty.

In Wisconsin we can. I usually grab the shotgun when Jehovah's Witness's ring the doorbell. "Hey you're just in time to help me clean my Mossberg". I now must be on a blacklist or something, as I have not seen any for a while........

When you say a gun on your hip, are you referring to hand guns?

Some areas it is illegal for handgun ownership. Like Washington D.C.

But, if you are able to posses firearms, then you may carry on your own property. Although I wouldn't walk around the yard waiving a firearm around, because of so many liberal wussies around all it takes is one phone call to the police and you will be getting a "disturbing the peace" ticket.

Yes you can legally carry a gun on your property and in some states at your place of business. Also some states still allow you to carry a handgun openly on your hip.

It's perfectly LEGAL to carry a weapon on your person while in your own home or on your property. There are no current laws that prevent that. I live in a very rural area myself and have lost count how many times I've gone to my front or back door armed. Word has gotten out not to knock on my door after 10 PM or you might get a surprise...lol My friends always call first!

I've done this more than a few times. Reason being....I do it because I'm in the middle of getting ready to go out shooting or hunting, when my shooting/hunting buddies arrive to pick me up. I don't care if the police happen to see my gun on my hip. Its my home. What can they really do to me?

I can see them do something about it, if I happen to point the gun in a careless manner. A good, responsible gun owner would never do that

Out here in the Arkansas sticks I can walk around anywhere on my 200 acres fully outfitted with guns and ammo.

If I wanted I could sit on top of my chimney naked shooting a 30-30 and no one would know lol

Yes I can. So long as its in plain sight there is nothing stating that its illegal to carry a firearm. I can even walk down the street with my hunting rifle slung on my back (as I have done it many times) and the most I get is someone asking me what kind of rifle I am carrying.

Yes, just don't get the mail and forget your carrying a gun. I had fun with the LAPD with that.
