Jesus didn't literally go to hell as we know it.
I'm Catholic, and here's our interpretation of where Jesus was between His death and His resurrection -
Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, the way to salvation and heaven was effectively blocked by man's original sin. Many good and righteous people who had died since then, but before Christ died on the Cross, weren't exactly in hell, but they weren't allowed into heaven in the full sight of God either. When we say that "He descended into hell..." what we mean is that He went to the abode of the dead who, for the reason mentioned above, were stuck in that abode. He basically visited those people and gave them the good news that the devil's power over mankind due to the original sin of our First Parents had been broken, and that heaven awaited them. The Good News of Christ's death and resurrection was preached even to the dead.

Haospoyo,
I have never hear of any stories about Jesus being in the mythical hell of the devil, but most likely some are around.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to read false stories about a person as important as Jesus. Why clutter the mind with false information? In time one would run into the same kind of problem as remembering to many sleep dreams. Dreams confused with reality is something a person really doesn't need.
I think one would make better use of his time by studying what the Bible has to say about Jesus, from Genesis to Revelation.

For the first part, there are no bible verses saying he went to "hell". That is mentioned in the Apostles which was written as a profession of faith for the new christians to state their belief in the main doctrines of the Faith. And by saying hell, what is meant is an area of "limbo", where the just people, who had died before and were waiting for the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus to open the gates of Heaven which were closed after the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden, meaning after the people on the earth lost their state of "innocence" by sin. And also, He didn't spend three days there according to our sense of time.

God's son went to Hell??? Well from an atheist point of view that's even stranger than most things I've read about this man called Jesus.
Jewish waiting area?..limbo...
The movie I saw..he went up to heaven.. but then that was just a movie.."Passion of the Crist" .. Yep, even an atheist went to see it...

Yes. An apocryphal account of Lucifer and Hades asking each other who that was coming down into their domain and then realizing who it was as He entered. They weren't very happy about it either..... but what could they do but yeild and back out of His way. Jesus "owned" the place.
Basically, Jesus did a "walk-through" assessing the place, and then with the "keys" to Hell and Death secured and under His control, He took the souls out of Purgatory who could not ascend to Heaven prior to the advent and sacrifice of Christ, but had not been wicked enough to spend eternity in Hell.
Jesus did descend into Hell, but He was never tortured there or subject to the control of Satan. Jesus went there and ruled over it all. Satan and all of his fallen angels cleared a path for Him.

It's a repeated story. Before Christianity, a God named Zeus had a son, Apollo, who was also worship as a God. The Egyptians and Sumerians had similar things with their Gods.

Prophets of God are sent straight to Heaven.
It is shame too many westerners have no respect for Prophets. They will received vey severe punishment in hell fire for mouthing off like this.
They think they are enjoying mocking at Prophets of God. In hell they will do nothing but screaming from the pain of burning their flesh.

I don't understand why would anyone who believes that Jesus (PBUH) is god at the same time even think for a second that he went to hell... that's just beyond me.... BUT... if you do find any reference to it in the bible or anywhere please enlighten us.... and as always... please give us a reference to something Jesus (PBUH) said himself... not something that someone said about him hundreds of years after he left earth... and thank you in advance.
