Depends on what he was stopping you for in the first place. More than likely, it'll add to the fines that you're going to have to pay and it will be on your permanent record. Also, you might get asked how you 'accidentally' didn't see the cop. Be careful how you answer because it could end up costing you more money if the judge feels that you were distracted and a possible hazzard to others on the road.

Hire a lawyer. They will be able to reduce the fees and penalties (at an expense). Never go into court without representation. They have a strange way of really sticking it to you if you are without counsel.

You won't have to go to jail... expect fines, and community service.

Hire a lawyer.

You will "accidentally" have to pay a fine and may "accidentally" go to jail for a short time.

It's also a good way to get "accidentally" yanked out the window, thrown on the ground, handcuffed, car towed, and charged with a Felony.

Great "accidental" decision there.

Prophet is right. Your reason for not stopping is the key. If you tell the truth atleast the judge will realise that. If you werent trying to speed away and pulled over not too long after, then i really would not be too worried about it.

Depending on how "accidental (blatant) it was, you could have a misdemeanor traffic stop turned into a felony Eluding charge.
