I think that R&S takes heavier hits than most other subjects, which is somewhat understandable. Religion and politics, the two subjects to avoid when in a social situation. The point is, that is what this site is for. Their sponsors are paying for this site, it is not free for them. Ask a question about a specific product like a plasma TV, or a collectable horse sculpture. I did, and guess what popped up? I was not the one to discover this, and take no credit, but I am steamed that we have no say about community rules when our questions generate how much they charge a sponsor for "hits" on their product. I say lone roaming, with questions about products you have no intention of buying. Keep a list of the ads. We would be in a position to let them know that we can manipulate the ads, and inform the sponsors that they are wasting their money, because in fact we will boycott their product. What's community? Or are the trolls going to continue to go unchallenged?

Oh, Beano, I spiced it up a bit. I can't have those horse folks thinking I'm a sissy. Of course it got deleted. It was questionable, but I see worse every day. It wasn't your fault. They would have just laughed me off if i would have asked your way. But nooooooo! Instead I had to ride that extra mile! I just asked if it would help my older stud if I sparked up the mare a bit.

Let me put it this way, if there is a Viagra for horses, an ad should have popped up from my questions. This is not new. Spread it around. Keep track. Go window shopping for things you might buy if you hit the Lotto. They need to know we could control those ads, which makes them worthless to the sponsor. Boycott of a large corporation is an option.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I disputed an answer I submitted that got reported and deleted. I still haven't heard back from them, two or three weeks later.
And, now that you mention it, I just noticed earlier today that the links on the side of the screen seem to match up with key words in the question. Yours had an ad for a plasma tv. Interesting.
Where do I sign up, Eagle?

Jeez, I'm really ostracized. I've never had any ads pop up. I guess I'm not a very commercial person, or my answers are so offensive that no sponsor wants to be associated with them.

But, to your original question. I resent that there is no individual contact from the YA gods. I get notified that something's been deleted and given a web address to dispute, but all I ever get is a canned response, with no attention paid to my questions or arguments; and after that, nothing. Don't tell me I can dispute the decision if there is absolutely never any response, never, ever, any response.

I mean, don't even tell me. Or tell me and say, "tough s h i t", or something; be honest about the fact that there is no procedure or formal rules to handle this situation. The insult to my intelligence is quite frustrating and could be infuriating if I wasn't so able to ignore them.

Another thing they cant seem to fix is the fan/contact thing. If you put your Q/A and contacts to private, once someone becomes your fan they can now access your entire network whether you reciprocate or not.

Many out here are having this done, then certain trolls.. *cough CBG* are mining there Q/A's for anything reportable. I logged in a week or so ago to an "alert you are down 114 points". As soon as I disallowed fans it stopped. I know you can turn them off but where is the fun in that. How many good members have left lately because yahoo can't get it together?

Can they delete you without a reason or a violation? Yes. Happens to me all the time courtesy of the little buggers living under bridges. When it happened to me I was told that it was due to reporting by other users though a clear violation may or may not have occurred. I guess you may or may not of stepped on a land mine, obvious right. If it is "not a question" customer care removes the offensive material. They care, they really do. I think you were too chatty, being too smart, having too much fun, clever and are female. How DARE you!

Did you ask my question for you and it got deleted!!? (Or have you found it yet? )

Ohhh....good points you make! I agree! These sponsor results are new, aren't they? I never noticed them before tonight. They always relate to the question that's been asked!

EDIT: LOL!! See, I tried to keep it tame for you! I would've loved to have seen it! I can't believe they deleted it! They're doing that much more quickly now, arent they? (I didn't know you'd found it--you forgot to post the link to it in your answer. LOL)

I've disputed some before, they were average questions. Yahoo answers is like a baseball umpire, you can't question their decision.
