You have completely overlooked one of your skills, you speak Japanese AND English. There are jobs here for people with these skills, they are a bit harder to find, but they are here.

As for what other types of jobs you might be able to do here try searching on monster.com, that's an a web site dedicated solely to finding jobs in America. I typed in the word Japanese and it came back with over 1300 jobs.

I am an American who speaks some Japanese and has done some work with Japnese related companies in Silicon Valley (of which SFO is part).

There are many types of jobs you could do with your English, and our college education.

Even if your education is not very specialized, you many be able to find work. Some of it may be the American version of OL, but some of it may be much more with opportunities to learn and expand your skills.

One thing to keep in mind is that California bay Area (SFO) is among he most expensive places to live inthe country. But job salaries are higher too.

If you like, contact me via email here for with more informaton about your experience and skills, and I will provide more specific information.

If you have a job in Japan, I'm pretty sure that we have something over there that might relate to it. You might not get paid as much for it, but the cost of living is different over here.
Once you're here, legally of course, it will be easier to determine what you can do and what you want to do. Also, give yourself a bit of time after you get married to settle into the country before you start working. That will give you an idea of what you want to do as well.

There's so many things to be done in America. Your income sounds that you deserved to have a good job in America. The main problem is how to get there. If you are there already you'll find it very easy to have a good job. And the amount you mentioned is small if you found a job there. I think the minimum salary there is about $2000. That is if you only work three times a week.

You can do anyting you want to do, and get any job for which you are qualified or a job you can train for if you want a change. There are no limits on what you can do. There are also many Japanese companies here, you could even get a job before you move, if you want to alleviate your anxiety. You can make a great living, you'll see when you get here, no worries.
