Wow, your wife wants you to treat her family with respect? She wants you to be a child to your father? She doesn't feel like cooking once in awhile? She wants to go out and look nice?

Sounds like you're unlucky in love.
The ONLY thing out of all those that I've EVER said is, "Let's go out." Which we hardly ever do. Seriously, I think I can count how many dates my husband and I have gone on in four years of marriage on both hands. He's very anti-social...and I'm a social butterfly. He's a homebody, I like to travel. I moved six times in three years, what do you think? I was the girl who had all my most precious belongings packed into two bags, and hopped on a Greyhound to move halfway across the country when I was nineteen.
And...my husband and I usually only order out twice a month. If that. The other twenty-eight days, I plan the meals, and I do all the cooking.
I would never tell my husband he's a bad husband. I tease him sometimes, that he's anti-social, but I also tell him how lucky I am to have married him. He's a wonderful husband, a good man...and he knows it!
You shouldn't generalize. :-) I think perhaps if this is your wife you're talking about, you ought to sit down and talk to HER about it.

There are always inherent dangers in gross generalities, and this is an example. Not all women say these typical things, if that were true, there would be virtually no marriages anymore. Just as all men aren't lewd crude and obnoxious, not all women nag, etc.
