Definitely lots of lube (Astroglide or K-Y), & you could also get some stuff called Anal-Ease at your local adult shop. I dated a girl who really liked anal, & she had this stuff to numb her up a bit beforehand. However, it can numb you up, too, so use a condom if you wouldn't normally do so (which you ALWAYS should).
As for positions, doggy-style seems to be the good old standby. I used to think letting her be on top would be best since she could control the insertion, but I found out that when a woman's on top, it tightens every part of her pelvic region (which is why this position is ideal for vaginal intercourse, but bad for anal). More experienced girls might be able to handle it in missionary with the legs higher, but I wouldn't count on this. Also, laying on her stomach might help her relax more than doggy style. Finally, possibly the best position would be a variation of the spoon position, with the downside leg straight, & the upside leg bent up towards the stomach, as this position helps reduce cramping & ease insertion. This is the position of choice in hospitals to give enemas, so there must be something to it.
Foreplay would also be important. Start off with some finger action. Put 2 fingers in her vagina, & your thumb against her clitoris. Once you've got her worked over pretty well, let your pinkie slide in the backdoor (this works best during her orgasm when her anus will be twitching). After a little foreplay like this, you can work up to larger & larger fingers, helping prepare her for penile insertion, which is hopefully much bigger around than any of your fingers.
She could also do some preparation beforehand to make it much easier on her. Drinking lots of fluids will help, as will cleansing enemas (it's a lot easier to get something in if something else isn't waiting to get out, & this may cut down on the mess). Also, if she has a vibrator, have her bring this into play. Using it on her clitoris, or simply masturbating, may help her take you inside her. Communication will be important, too. If she wants you to insert during her orgasm, she needs to feel comfortable telling you when that is. Also, she will need to help guide you by telling you if you're going in too fast, if you need to pause or pull out, & when you can push further inside her. If she doesn't have a lot of anal experience, expect it to be slow going. You may even orgasm before you're completely inside her, so in this case, something like climax control cream may be a good idea for you to put on the head of the penis before putting on your condom. It will definitely take practice on both your parts to get good at this. Just be patient, & you should have lots of fun. Best of luck to both of you. Firstly, you need to know what kind of woman she is. If she is a little bit into pain, then just lube her a little bit, without breaking the mood. If not, then lube her a lot, work into it slowly. In that case, you need to stretch her a little bit at a time. Use 1 finger at first, then two, and so on, changing from one to the next SLOWLY as each addition which make it hurt again until she gets used to it. Once u get her used to something close to how big your dick is, then start in. Let her set the pace at first, if you think that she wants to take it slowly. Keep in mind, women won't necessarily SAY what they want. They may not even know what it is till it starts happening. I AM NOT SAYING FORCE IT ON HER. I am just saying that the tempo and pace and starting length are highly flexible from person to person. With mine, it is simply a matter of getting her lubed enough that I can force (yes force) myself in, and away we go. With others, the prep time can be a matter of hours. All a matter of knowing your woman, like all sex. Keep in mind, though, that it hurts pretty badly. Depends strongly on how big you are, naturally, but it will hurt her no matter what if you start early.
Positions I would start Doggy Style. You can have anal from any position, really, but that is an easy one. She will probably have a good idea of what she likes and doesn't like, so follow her lead.
Finally, don't let anyone tell you that if she has done it before it won't be as painful. I suppose that must be true for some women, but I haven't met any, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Again, ask her, talk to her, she knows what she wants if she has done it before.

use an extra thick condom, or two condoms. STDs are easily spread through anal sex.
one very important thing to remember, is to not go too fast, and to pay attention to what she is doing. it's okay to ask her if it's too much, or if she's alright. and it's okay for her to say stop.
i lubricant is definitely advisable, yes. be sure to get one that is safe to use with condoms (NOT OIL based ones). start off by loosening the area with you finger, and when it's time for Mr happy, go very very slowly, don't force him if he wont go. you'll need to thrust very slowly at first, to get her used to it. if you can reach and masturbate her clitoris at the same time, then she will probably enjoy it more. If she has a vibrator she can use on herself, she will probably like that too.
If you're too embarrassed to ask her when you's are getting down to it, if you can use the back door instead, just get her in the spooning position (which is the best position for anal sex), and start playing with her bottom a little bit. she will shoo you away if she's not in the mood for that. if she doesn't shoo you away, then you can take it as she is interested, and you can proceed with caution.
NEVER NEVER NEVER insert something ANYTHING into the anus and then into or near the vagina, as this can cause a serious infection. Always ensure any sex toys that have been used anally are cleaned and washed very well before using them for vaginal play.

Give a lot of oral attention to that spot...kissing and fingering it gently.
Also apply love juices from nearby source. Insert your penis very slowly and gently. Use a condom..I have done this several times and never had a complaint.
Be serious now ladies...as your having normal sex..a little finger in the anal hole does feel good!

Use lubrication, start out very slowly and utilize the "doggy style". If you are concerned about hygene use a condom, my girl loves this particular version because she's a submissive and loves to be dominated. Good luck and have fun!

Try using fresh produce (cucumbers, zucchini, maybe an eggplant if she's one of those special gals) and crisco as a lubricant. This way you can satisfy her without having to worry about STDs and can make a salad afterwards.

She is more experienced, she should be able to guide you through it. Seriously, isn't that the reason why some guys prefer older gals? At least that's what my friend told me and he continues seeking older gals coz he could learn from their experiences.

KY jelly, missionary with her legs over your shoulders or pinned back against her chest. Very hard to do & can be a turnoff for you. Use protection
