"Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS."

Tell me all you want that she would be honoured, or whatever logic you like, but should this not have been her choice to make?

you're regrettably fallacious, Mohammad isn't a prophet in truth he's decrease than a guy. Islam is predicated on the lone testimony of this deluded guy. Why are muslims so desirous to be linked with judeo christianity ?

My question is: What if abortion was around in those days? Would there have even been a Jesus?

And if i hear one person saying mary would have never done that i will know they are morons, after all, no one alive today has ever met her so no one really knows if she would or wouldn't have aborted the child.

Just a little brain food people.

No, there is no scripture that says that God asked for Mary's permission. God is able to read the hearts of man and he no doubt did that in this situation. He found that she was a faithful and willing servant. She was happy that God had chosen her to bear his son. She had the most important task of raising him as well. That was a honor!! But throughout the bible, Mary knew her position, and although she felt that this was her son whom she had raised from a baby. She realized his primary purpose for birth and she never stood in the way of that. Even until death, she did not cry out for them to stop while they impaled him, because she knew what task God had given her. That alone showed her willingness to carry out this difficult task. Jesus even honored her when he was being impaled by saying, "see my mother". He wanted his prophets and his brother to look after her when he was gone.

ok.. to have found favor with God was the highest honor one could have in that time. If you recall ones that did so,lived a very long time, like Moses&Abraham and those of this time period. They were chosen as examples to show the "wonders" of God.

Mary found favour with God, no doubt trusting Him in everything as her obedience and faith show in the Book of Luke. And,God is sovereign, who are we to tell Him what He can do and cannot do?

God does not need anyone's permission to do anything! And as far as I know, Mary didn't do anything to try and stop this from happening!

God gives us free will and Mary answered, "Be it done unto me according to thy word;".."and the Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us."

I believe Mary expressed her willingness to participate when she said, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord."
