idk, it is a double standard...but it is bad for both sexes...if a womn sleeps around she is as you said is considered a ho but if a guy doesnt have sex it is almost shameful. double standars suck for everyone.

Because there are lots lots more ho's in this world than gigolos. Women usually don't have to pay guys for sex. And a girl who sleeps around and then gets pregnant doesn't even know who the father of her child is. That's pretty serious. Guys who can 'get into a girl's pants' aren't usually hearing wedding bells and don't think at all about having kids. They just think a girl can worry about that. And when it is time to carry a baby for 9 months in your womb, you are going to be wondering why you didn't worry!

My mom told me this when I was younger. A man can roll around in the mud get up and shake it off no one things nothing of it. But if a women rolls around in the same mud. The mud will stay on her forever. I thought she was crazy when she told me this, but as I got older it's true.
Women are suppose to be elegant, classy, and have self respect. Back in the olden days even in the bible, Men could have a lot of wives. Solomon had 800 wives and 300 mistresses. (for real) So it's been normal for men to have several women. But a lady is suppose to be gentle,calm, you know lady like. It's just how society classifies things. No it isn't fair. But that's just how it is.

USUALLY (I don't mean all the time), women see sex as something they share with someone they really care for. guys on the other hand will toss it around like free samples. there are exceptions to this case, but for the most part, thats how it is.
