I think that pharmaceutical companies make too much money off the medicines for cancer and AIDS to release a cure. We talked about this when I was in college in 1991. At the very least, a vaccine to prevent AIDS should have been available a LONG time ago!!! My professor also taught us that they HIV virus must have been created (man made) in a laboratory because a naturally occuring virus could not have mutated that fast. It was a way for governments to get rid of gays and IV drug users. I don't know for sure if this is true, but after learning their arguments, it is possible.

Magic Johnson does not come down with full blown AIDS because he is super rich so he can afford the best medicines. He has HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, but not the AIDS disease itself.

Magic Johnson does not have AIDS. He is HIV positive, and there is a difference. HIV simply means that you have tested positive for the virus. It does not become AIDS until immune system problem appear. There is medication to help slow the progression of the disease but there is no medication to eradicate this disease.

My own personal opinion on cures for cancer or AIDS is, that even if there was one, we would never be told. Just imagine that every sick person will be cured and would live. After some time I can imagine that the earth will be over populated. People dying of diseases or accidents keeps the world and its population in somewhat of a balance.......but these are just my thoughts on this...

There is no such thing as a cure-all for cancer and I doubt there ever will be. If you study cancer at all, you would realize that there are many different types of cancer and they all behave differently and have different causes, therefore there cannot be a cure-all. Chemo-therapy has been a cure for some types of cancer, but certainly not for all because there are different types of cancer. A healthy diet low in fat that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables can help prevent some forms of cancer. Not smoking can definitely help prevent lung cancer. Birth control pills and hormone replacement pills can increase a woman's chances of getting breast cancer. However at the same time, birth control pills can decrease a woman's chance of getting ovarian cancer. Pesticides and chemicals in the environment can increase chances of getting cancer. Genes play a role in one's chances of getting some forms of cancer. Cancer is a complex disease.

Why do people keep asking if there is a cure for cancer that pharmaceutical companies are hiding? Heart disease is the #1 killer in America. Why are there no accusations of Pharmaceutical companies hiding a cure for cardiovascular disease?
