Two months have past, and you are just now realizing that the car has a problem? The dealer is not going to do anything, and to tell the truth, I can not blame him! In two months a lot can happen to a car.

Did you have the vehicle checked out by your own mechanic prior to purchase? If not, why not? If you did, why did your mechanic not notice the problem?

It is possible that the vehicle had prior damage that the dealer did not know about! You did not notice it for 2 months, so it could not have been that obvious!

Right now you have three choices. You can have the car repaired. You can drive it the way it is. You can sell it and buy another vehicle.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!!

You are mostly out of luck - as far a law is concerned.

But you can do something I saw on TV. First talk to the guy and see if he will buy it back. You will probably lose some money. If he won't budge, then put a sign on you car window saying "I bought this car from So & So, and I have lots of mechanical problems."

Park the car in front of the dealers.

Make sure you don't exaggerate or make judgement statement (like "it is a junk"). Make matter of fact statements (like your wheel base of off, etc.).

If you slender he can probably sue you. But as long as the statements are factual he can't much to defeat you.

Once he realizes that he is losing customers he will probably want to talk to you again. He (the dealer) is never going to give you full value of the car. After all you drove the car for 2 months. You should expect to lose at least 2 months of rental car fees. If your car is not even worth that much, then try settling for half. Don't be greety and demand the full amount - that's setting yourself up for failure (of negotiation).

Also call your local TV stations. They love this kind of story. That'll really put the fire under their ****.

Good Luck.

P.S. Take your keyboad off the cap locks. It is very difficult to read and annoying.

Ask him to resolve this problem,if he doesn`t burn his lot down so he can`t swindle anyone else.
