P.S. To those who are worried about "trashing space" please get a clue. If you honestly think we are going to "pollute" space you have absolutely no clue as to the vastness of space. We could fit a million full earths between one end of the galaxy to the other! Sending our trash out into space is not even a drop in the bucket. So wise up if you are going to answer.

The enormous energy needed to launch even a relatively small payload makes this unlikely, why even think about such a high tech solution which is a very low tech problem.

Space Travel will have to become alot less expensive. It cost NASA somewhere around 7000 dollars per pound for space flight. So your average full trash bag would cost around 70 thousand dollars. So no not until a more efficient source of space travel is found.

I would never recommend to do that rather I would suggest to recycle our waste which is being done in some countries like Sweden. We have already polluted our earth 2 much and now we shall not pollute the space.

What a silly idea. Don't you have any concept of how much it costs to launch a rocket? Don't you have any idea of how much trash we generate? The skies are already filled with enough orbital junk to make it dangerous to be out there. And you wan't to add even more? AAAARRGH!!! Whoever said there isn't such a thing as a silly question was seriously wrong.

Yes, we can do it now if we wish, but the powers to be would rather trash the earth and send people to other planets to live. Anyhow we should'nt trash outer space because it doesn't belong to us.
