I am trying to find out who my patron god is (and no, it's not jehovah!). Problem is, he's being a tease and seems to be enjoying my suspense. I know he has to do with the sun and daylight, but he WON 'T tell me his name, and he thinks I'm all his, both physically and spiritually-- he's jealous of my patron goddess and I feel all dark inside if I don't light his candle first. It's got me a little nervous, and lately even intercourse with my husband feels like a threesome. I figure if he isn't willing to reveal himself to me, then he has no right to invade my privacy. Any idea who this is? I'm thinking dionysis...? Or something bigger?

I need to clarify-- I asked him to show himself and THIS is what happened. Maybe this god mistook my interest in him for something "more". Lesson learned is: never ask a god or goddess anything without being uber-specific!

There are many names and many seals... You must draw these out yourself, none may tell but they who bears the name and seal.

Wow! Are you saying you are being invaded by an unknown entity (god)? Something about this doesn't sound right to me. Maybe you have the wrong idea about finding your patron god/goddess.
You should be able to align yourself with whatever god/goddess you need to without feeling "nervous". And you shouldn't feel controlled or "dark" inside! Maybe you should pull away from this "god"----it doesn't sound good!

Well what pantheon do you follow?
Loki isn't a sun God, rules him right out. He is NOT a fire god either. Don't go there.
Ra is a good guess. He is pretty into himself. He's a real *** sometimes too. You might want to have a nice, firm talk with him.
edit: upon further thought, you might want to go to Thoth for help. Or Isis. They have both been known to outsmart him. Thoth is not to be trifled with. See if they can help you out.

My first thought was Ra, he's a Sun God and pretty into himself from what Ive read.

Are you following a certain pantheon?
I can't tell you who it is, but remember that the gods are very much like us -- and men have very fragile egos! So trying stroking his a little bit. Kiss up to him so to speak ... and maybe you'll be able to coax the information out of him. :)
