Do you agree that alternate theory ("matheistic design") should be part of the school curriculum? And why are "a-matheists" afraid to present both sides of the story and let people decide for themselves?

1+1=2 is just a mathematical theory!!

(P.S. This a satire, I'm bored)

Yet another 'silly' case where 1+1=3 is that 8+7=15 and consequently 1 (in modulo 7 arithmetic) + 1 (in modulo 6 arithmetic) = 3 (in modulo 12 arithmetic).

But in fact the US Supreme Court should immediately ban the teaching in public schools of both 1+1=3 and 1+1=2, for the following irrefutable reason:

In his book 'The Universe that discovered itself', British Physics professor John D.Barrow examined the implications of Godel's Theorem in mathematics, and concluded that 'not only is mathematics a religion, it is the only religion that can prove it is a religion'. Consequently any taxpayer-funded teaching of mathematics is a clear and outrageous violation of the US Constitution, which should be stopped at once.

Maybe not an exact analogy, but about right from the factual sense. You would need to add some misquotes from famous mathematicians as well, like "Einstein flunked 3rd grade math, and said that it was boring" Then add the conclusion that 3 is a more believable answer.

Edit
I wish I had a dollar for every time that the web site "answersingenesis.org" lied to its readers, I'd be rich.

You teach children the basics, then build upon their understanding over time.

In my 10th grade math class, the teacher in fact told us that 1+1=3 for large values of 1. Even this is too advanced to teach kids in elementary school.

I won't even get into alternative maths we studied in numeric methods (once 1+1 resulted in 45).

Yes 1=1=2 is just a theory.
Where is their evidence?Their proof?
Ive never seen a mathematical proof. Have you?
Of course not. Myth. Made up by that so called mathematician Euclid And his arithmetic friends.

It's still funny, even if you are bored. It's tough trying to produce good satire. And those amatheists are endangering our children's souls. The so-called "evidence" that 1+1=2 is a trick played by Satan.

Unless religiously inclined most school are state and government funded therefore even though it is a joke of a law the seperation church and state should imply. Only scientific fact should be taught in school. IF creationism is to be taught then so should wiccan belief, muslim, tao, hel native american beliefs.

You're right,it's just theory...I would be interested in testing the theory and quite willing to exchange a large sum of currency with you.
