If you think about it... when we do something wrong, anything wrong we always pay for it. There's always consequences to our actions. And it's not like a spanking and then it's over with. It's like a snowball effect. So you are continuously paying for your sins here on earth. One thing leads to another... cause and effect... so on and so forth. But then on top of that we go to hell??? How fair is that?

Just curious.

That's a misnomer. Among those theologians who believe in a Hell, most believe that since we are all equally under the grace of Christ the only people who go to Hell are those who choose voluntary seperation from God.

You only go to Hell if you fail to REPENT! The process of learning from our mistakes and not making the mistake again.
That being said the opposite is also true. You go out of your way to make a positive action of any kind in the lives of those around you, You will soon find that positive things are happening in your world as well! All thought and speech are action whether we realize it or not. Each has an energy all it's own! If we do our best to put out good thoughts and positive energy the same will come back to us! If we are always yelling and screaming and trying to take advantage of others, guess what comes back to us!
The Bible calls it the law of Justice!
The Hindu's called it Karma!
The Happy People of the "60s" called it
"What goes around comes around"!
All in all, You choose! I'd much rather have that positive boomerang comeing at the back of my head than that negative one!!

That is assuming that there is a "Hell"

I personally do not believe in such a thing, that would be the christian faith i do think.
As for the consequences for our choices, there will always be consequences for each and every choice we make, however, every consequence is not bad. But we must all be accountable for our actions.....
It is my belief that we are all here to learn life lessons and that our soul will continue to reincarnate into the earthly realm until all such lessons are learned...then and only then can we become one with the divine energy and creator of all.

Blessed Be

To be in the dark away from God & his love, to be without God & the light. I guess Atheists like myself are in hell now, & ya know what? Not too shabby. LOL

All denominations profess different versions & redemptions. Some say you are forgiven for certain sins, some say a sin is a sin & cause for eternal death. Others say God will forgive suicide, while still others say God does not forgive suicide because it is murder & the sinner cannot ask for forgiveness & can't be saved. Religion is something else, but dogma is the true hell.

ADD- Funny little saying, My Karma ran over your Dogma. TeeHee!

No, even even with the undeniable fact that each so often, one's descendants would seem to top charge of a few variety. i think of, out of your occasion, you're asking, 'Who would desire to acquire privilege, are you able to are making it truthful, and who would desire to settle on?' and of direction the respond will continually be: some would be privileged, and a few won't, and which will continually be desperate via those with privilege. at present, that's seen via maximum folk to be greater enlightened to elect anybody, as an entire, as equivalent people, and that i agree. although, no longer incredibly everyone has a similar opinion with me. you won't be able to administration what human beings think of (or, a minimum of, because it applies to this communicate) so there'll continually be some point of divisiveness between people. we are stable at it, and fall into the habit incredibly easily. particular 'corrective legislations' is the corporate's way of attempting to sell equivalent danger with out absolutely everyone having to relatively provide up something. i think of further and extra, sources trump all issues. money being the super purely top equalizer.

It's the nature of sin that must be covered. Not the specifics - the whole thing.

Jesus did that for those who believe in him.

Reminder for all those looking: It's not about being fair. If God was going to apply fairness, we'd all be dead. It's about faith! He wants us to trust Him!

But if you want to, just stay where you are. Don't ever get any farther than that. And you will never know the truth. You will never be saved. But if you do what Jesus said to do, you will be saved.

And this is what he said to do:

John 3
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Actually, when you think of the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God, it's a GREAT DEAL more than fair arrangement.

All we have to do for complete forgiveness is to put our faith and trust in the love and mercy of God.

Everything else becomes the "small stuff".

Well you are not pushed into hell but you have the right to chose to go to hell or heaven.
god has given the free will to man to chose what he wants and it's up to you where you want to go.

besides you will be forgived if you ask for it from Jesus according to Christianity. no you won't have reactions for your sins but you'll have to meet the consequences on the day of judgment.

if you have the guilt of your wrong doings and you really need to get out of your consciousness i can suggest one thing

Try Jesus.

yes. accept him and feel the relief you get.

No, although there is punishment for sins, the Bible does not say that the punishment for sin is eternal torture in hell, but what it does say:"23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. There is no mention there of everlasting torture in a fiery hell!

1. We are not continuously paying for our sins here on earth. How many people do we say "get away with murder" all the time? Do you think that Hitler "paid" for all HIS sins here on earth? Sorry... 'fraid not! While there ARE punishments and "natural consequences," we do not "pay" for them here.

2. See point 1... when you say, "when we do something wrong, anything wrong, we always pay for it." WRONG! Besides being a SWEEPING generalization, again, we DO NOT ALWAYS pay for the wrongs we commit. How many have shoplifted a piece of candy and "got away" with it?

3. Again, there is NOT "ALWAYS" a consequence to our actions. SOMETIMES there is, SOMETIMES there is not! Yet, another generalization.

4. Now for the rest of the answer....

NO ONE GOES TO HELL FOR THEIR WRONGDOINGS!!! Whoa! Is that a religiously revolutionary statement, or what? But it is TRUE!!!!

HELL is NOT punishment for our sins... NOPE. Hell is the NATURAL CONSEQUENCE for our UNBELIEF in Jesus Christ... that's IT... PERIOD... End of everything.

A natural consequence is also not a punishment. We can define it as "something spontaneously produced by a cause or being an ocurrance normally following from a set of conditions." Something like, "If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die?" (Shakespere, The Merchant of Venice).

While a punishment is "a penalty inflicted on an offender through judicial procedure."

Going to hell is the natural consequence of our decision that we do not believe in the Savior Jesus.

Why is it not PUNISHMENT for our SINS? Because THAT PUNISHMENT (penalty) has already been paid for/served by Jesus. He paid that price FOR us. It is like if we were in court, in front of the judge, having already been convicted of murder, and this is merely the sentencing. Jesus walks up next to you and speaks to the judge and says, "Judge, I know this person is guilty, but please do not punish him. I have already suffered the punishment this court meeded out. This person is no longer guilty. Let this person go free."

Frankly, in the realm of "fairness," this is BEYOND the call of duty! WOW!! What an incredible thing! You are let FREE while HE pays the price for what YOU are guilty of. YOU are not being punished for your sin!

Now... HERE'S the catch!!! Jesus now turns to you and says, "But it is up to YOU to accept my offer. Will you accept it?"

Well????? There you have what all this "Free Will" is about! ALL you have to say to Him is, "YES!!! I accept your offer!" BUT... you DO have the CHOICE to also say, "NO. I don't." And... if you don't accept that offer, then Jesus says to you, "Then you have rejected my offer, and you do not wish to be with me." And your next venue is being send away from Jesus... because YOU DID NOT WANT to be with Him. Mind you, the guilt and punishment for your sin has ALREADY BEEN cleared away by Him... he already told you that. But he is not going to FORCE you to be with Him if you don't want to be... and that is what is the actual definition of hell... being "outside" the presence of God.

Now;.. back to fairness. Would it be fair if, after you chose not to be with Jesus, that he FORCED you to be with him anyway? Is THAT fair? Or is it more fair for him to RESPECT your CHOICE and walk away from you and leave you alone? Yeah... I would think that is fair.... especially when he does have the power, if he WANTED to, to FORCE you to be with him....but he won't EVER do that!

yeah... this has been LONG, but it was the only way to respond completely to your question. So, when it comes to "cause and effect," the real cause is rejecting Christ's offer and the real effect of that is going to hell... NOT as a punishment for SIN, but as a natural consequence of your choice.

Have a blessed day.
