As cheap as they've become, unless you have priceless images on that chip, just replace them. You wouldn't want tape or glue to damage the insides of your digital camera's memory card slot.

Currently 2gb SD cards are running around $20.

It might be possible-if you have a donor camera and are capable of the delicate work involved. Otherwise, there are several companies that do repairs. However, the cost of repairs may be close to what you would pay for a new camera so it all depends on how attached you are to your camera. I discovered all this recently, when I had a camera with a malfunctioning lens.
