I have a friend who had this guy who would flirt with her and talk to her a lot whenever he saw her off somewhere. Now, he does'nt talk or flirt with her whenever he sees her, he doesn't even speak to her. He acts like he doesn't know her. She hasn't done anything to him. Can someone explain this behavior?

It sounds like he's no longer interested. That, or he's playing games. Either way she should move on.

He's feeling insecure and afraid of rejection. Obviously your friend hasn't done anything to show her interests? I mean, if your friend is interested then ask her to show some reciprocation. This isn't a game, you either like him or you don't. Don't expect a guy to wait forever just because you want to play hard to get.

So you expect the guy to be all over your friend just because he likes her? Well you're wrong, coz some guys are afraid to get hurt and they are prepared to shield themselves from being heart broken.

Maybe things werent going the way he wanted them to. So he found another girl to flirt with.

Maybe he tried sending out the signs that he likes her, but she might have not noticed. So he might of got bored and stopped flirting.

Apparently he saw he wasn't getting anywhere. She obviously wasn't interested in him or didn't give him good enough reason to believe she was.
