There are many stories that cultures believe originate with them. Before books and newspapers people told stories. People moved around, were taken over etc. The stories get intertwined, and customized. It's only after hundreds and thousands of years, with global communications and re-investigations that we find the threads winding backwards linking some stories backwards in time through many cultures, countries and continents. A story very similar to the garden of eden story is found in ancient sumerian texts. There may be many reasons why the details of the stories were changed. Different lands, different scary things hence different descriptions. Different leaders with different agendas using stories to their advantage for propaganda.
Then again, the term prophet has definition. Anyone named prophet would probably bear similarity to another named prophet.

God told Adam about His Salvation Plan long before written language was invented. Those stories got corrupted over the years, much as people CLAIM happened to the Bible. The result? Horus, Isis, Osiris, Hercules, Quetzalcoatl, and all the rest.

Because all modern religions are built on the past beliefs of so called pagan gods. Christianity is a collage of ancient religions molded into what suits their message.

Because they are all created to imitate Jesus Christ. The enemy needs to make an idea of someone who is as great as Jesus was in order for people to truly believe in them. By making them seem similar to our Saviour he is desperately trying to get people to stop believing in what is true and start believing in what is false. By putting all these false "prophets" in the same category with Jesus, there are masses of people who are choosing to believe in these idols rather than accepting the truth about God and his son. Jesus, the one who really died for all of our sins, is being made to look equal to these. But, the truth is, he is far more superior and all of those who fail to believe this will be judged for it. Rather it is believed or taken serious is not the issue because that will not stop the obvious. Those of us remain faithful to God and Jesus Christ will be exonerated and those who deny the Father and his Son will be judged and ultimately destroyed! It comes straight out of the oldest and most wide read book in the world, the bible. Why do you think there is so much opposition to Christianity these days? It is certainly not because it is some hoaky story made up by a couple of men. It is because it (the bible) speaks the truth and the truth will set men free. But, only if they believe it!! Satan does not want you to believe it, because he knows then you will be free and he will be damned all alone. He refuses to be thrown in the abyss by himself, so he is taking as many humans with him as he can.
