Ive heard this before but wasnt sure, in this question zachmeba(one of the answerers) said that god had done that.

Id like to know if this is true and if so where in the bible it says or talks about it. (this is my one serious question so take advantage of it while you can, and also on the other one I posted while youre at it)

Yes. God enters into all things to work His good. Even wars.

John 9
1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"

3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

Romans 9
33 As it is written:
"See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall,
and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

God was glorified in many Old Testament battles, where men trusted in God instead of their own strength (David versus Goliath, Gideon's army, Moses leading his people into battle against other nations). However, under the New Covenant, we are called to understand the revelation of spiritual warfare and to fight nonviolently as our Savior did.

which god? in the bible god kills alot of people, but i dont know if he used it to glorify himself.

i know nothing about any other religions so i wouldnt know about their god.

imho... it's just plain creepy that anyone would believe that an omnipotent creator would need to use wars to glorify them self...
