where is the threshold of stepping out of Satan's range? does it have a expiration date?

do we face off for our entire lives or can we tune out of the dark side altogether and manifest a Heavenly void?

is there a point when we no longer need the raw opposition for growth?

There is no expiration point for "satanic' attacks. Except the stronger that you get in the Word, the challenges change and get more intense and personal. The attackers and accusers will do anything for you to not believe what God has said you are, you are not of this world- it's spiritual, on a spiritual level with warfare taking place on both planes of exisistance.
As you find the sources of your confusion and apply the Word (by verses) to that situation satan has no choice but to get behind you. He can't win against the Word and Lord's protection.

Like it or not, Every child of God is engaged in spiritual warfare which never ends in this life. Satan's objective is to discourage you to the point that you will no longer be of valuable service to the Lord. I have been born again 38 years and do battle with Satan daily however, I have learned to laugh at him and his tactics as he can never take away my relationship with the Lord because that is sealed forever (Eph. 4:30)
For a good description of Satan go to Ezekiel Ch.28 V13 onwards

My Mentor told me many times that a wild animal fights hardest when he feels trapped. You know, my friend, I do not have a traditional view of "Satan", yet for many years I was a warrior, doing almost daily battle with the ego till I realize it lived & thrived off any attention I gave to it, that anything I resisted in fact became stronger. So, I laid my weapons down & just walked off the battlefield.
It seems in the beginning & possibly for some time we all learn thru pain. It in an unfortunate testimony to us that we are apt to not learn or change in any other way, IN THE BEGINNING. Most people are not motivated except thru pain to make the changes they need to make. Many people first approach the path because they hurt & want out of pain, & there are no wrong starting places. But there does come a time when the love for the Truth is enough in itself to motivate us, & we no longer have to learn thru pain. When that time comes varies for all, but all eventually do get there. Thank you for another excellent question. (((((HUG-YOU)))))

My spiritual "range" does not to belong to satan, my spirituality belongs to God Almighty. If I must add detail: God Almighty has put the claim to my spirituality long ago through the religion of the Saviour, and has taught me how to use, understand, and know for His own purposes. Because God Almighty was the one who began His work with my spirituality means He knows everything about me, and knows if it has been touched by anyone other than Him. Even I don't play with my spirituality because I believe it is better if God Almighty uses it as He will. If satan even dare snake its way inside, than God Almighty will certainly step up in His own time and throw satan out. To bad this knowledge comes a bit to late! Oh wait, it's meant to be. God Almighty will guide and light my way through the valley of the shadow of death. As the believer caught in all this, I get to watch God put His POWER to work. He will again reasure me He is the POWERFUL ONE, the mighty ROCK who crushes snakes. It will be awesome, and I shall priase God like I never did before, and have a battle story that I will tell for the rest of this life, and make it known in the next.

God Bless You!
God Be With You Always!

complete transendence has no need for the definition of anything because the sum of all has been attained. Satan will always come in many shapes and sizes and I believe any satan can work through others in much the same way the spirit can. We are here to learn until we need it no more (any more?)

I don't think he ever stops trying. He never stopped with Jesus or the disciples that I can tell. And what did Jesus say about him, he walks around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour?

The answer to your first question is 'no' for the simple reason there is no such entity as satan. Unless it is in your own head.

Satan's not worried about trying to trick you, trap you, or even annoy you.

Focus on your own spiritual development.
