I have a lot of pets, because I live on a farm and I run my own animal shelter. And I consider all the animals at my shelter my pets until they go to a new home. My personal pets that live in the house and the barn are: 2 horses named Chessie and Tara, 3 dogs named Otis, Napoleon, and Sophie, 5 cats named Thumper, Skipper, Milo, Tinkerbelle, Cleopatra, 4 goats named Daisy, Gidget, Zorro, and Jack, 3 cows named Belle, Molly, and Alice, 2 rabbits named Bambi and Faline, 10 ducks named Merry, August, Melody, Summer, Star, Spring, Winter, Czar Nicholas, King Arthur, and Orion, 15 chickens named Hannah, Wendy, Amber, Jane, Liza, Tigerlilly, Jewel, Trina, Paulie, Ariel, Jenna, Florence, Athena, Venus, and Marina, 5 roosters named Peter Pan, Hook, John, Michael, and Smee. I won't list all the animals in the shelter because there are about 80 right now, but those are my pets that live with me. I'm so sorry about the death of your dog, I had my cat Lilly for 18 years before she passed on. I love that you named your dog Gabriel. I named my first cat after Lilly, Angel because she was my angel. I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

I personally favor odd names. Sometimes the name is just a word, sometimes a book character, the name of a star, a figure from mythology, or even a plant of some sort. Here are my pet’s names, where I got the name, and a brief description of the animal. Which is probably WAAY over-sharing, but not the point :-).
DOGS-
Typhon - (AKA Ty) Ty is a little Chihuahua/Terrier mix. I named him Typhon after the monster in Greek mythology. I thought because he was so diminutive in size, he needed a big name to make up the difference. ;) The sad thing is, most of the time he only answers to Doom. Yes, I’m serious.
Sirius - Named after the Dog Star (Canis Major) he is a miniature pinscher/longhaired dachshund mix. He looks like a ver tall longhaired dachshund with miniature pinscher markings. Though sometimes I think I should have named him after a comet of some sort, judging by the speed at which he flies around the house at times. ;)
CATS-
Grim- named more after the grim reaper than anything else; since there is nothing 'grim' about his disposition. He is very calm and sweet. He is a black yellow-eyed male. I got him around Halloween, so that is how he got his name.
Requiem- is a black and white tuxedo male that was named after a character from the 'Anita Blake' series of books. He was named so because his personality is the exact same as the book character.
Diesel- is a male one eyed cinnamon tabby, who is an ex-feral part bobcat. I found him in a dumpster when he was five weeks old. Someone dumped him and his littermates in a church dumpster in 117 degree heat. He was the only one who made it, and he wasn't in good shape. He was emaciated and had serious damage to one eye that cost me 3,500 dollars to fix. He was a trooper and despite being very cuddly, he is one of the toughest cats I have ever met. So he needed a tough-guy name. I've often thought that if he was human, he'd be a biker who secretly loved chick flicks ;)
Frost- is a male grey and white tuxedo, and is named after a book character in the 'Merry Gentry' novels, who is of similar disposition and has silvery-grey hair, just like 'my' Frost does.
SNAKES-
Apophis- is my 12 year old male ball python; he is named after a monster of sorts in Egyptian mythology. I have no idea why that name works for him, but it does; despite the fact that there is nothing monstrous about him. He is the sweetest snake to the point where I can take him to children's events and he will let everyone poke and prod at him for hours without as much as a hiss.
Chloe- is the only girl of the bunch. She is a pink and white female corn snake, and is incredibly sweet yet feisty. In case you thought that the only 'normal' name in my group of weird ones, that is my best friend's fault. She named her ;).
Wow, that turned out to be less of an answer and more of an essay. Sorry about that. :-p
I hope that helps, and good luck with your critters!

*Beef was a stray cat that cost12,000 dollars. When my friends mom was biking she saw a stray kitten ( probabley two weeks old) trying to climb in to a flooded drain so she jumped off her bike dislocated her knee cap, sprained her ankle, broke her leg, and tore a legement--then limped over and picked up the underweight kitten and called for help. Once her and the kitten got home they noticed that the cat had 6 ticks and was coverd in fleas. they then took the cat to the vet and 2 days laters he came home still under weight. This happened around 5 months ago. Now this cat named beef is probabley the worlds best cat.

How approximately something like Robin? it particularly is spelt many elementary approaches to make it look extra female, so which you will possibly be inventive! (Robyn, Robynne) regardless of if your no longer one for spelling names "too creatively" im confident you will agree theres no longer something incorrect with Robyn. i truthfully like the fall, might sort names, yet flower names and gem names are very nature-y, like Ayanna meaning "eye-catching Flower" or theres those like Blossom, Heather, Daisy and additionally Skye is particularly nature-y. desire i helped. There are some animal names which would be suited, like Robin (an incredible, primary call for my area) or maybe Fawn like others have stated.
