I really like this quote "Amor Platonicus." I kno that this is Latin, but when I look it up on a translator, only Amor changes. I am already aware that many of the online translators are not correct at times as I am already fluent in Spanish. I am thinking about getting this as a tattoo, but not sure yet. I love the Portuguese language itself...Please Help!

Hi well "amor platonicus" in Portuguese is amor platônico.
It means more or less love without sex, or also idyllic love, you might love someone that you have not even met not want to meet. It is a kind of love never expressed and/or never enacted upon.

"Amor platonicus" is in English "Platonic love".
You should know the meaning.....!!

The Latin word "platonicus" is not changing too much since in all romance languages (and also in English) it translates very similar.
In Portuguese is " Amor platônico."
In Italian is "Amore platonico"
In Spanish is "Amor platónico"
In French is "Amour platonique"

In italian language "amore platonico" means "love with distance..from far " ...how to explay...without sex-meeting ! The word come from old greek "Platone" he was a greet phiolosofy !! Aristotile, Platone,and many others thy stay in Athens...

Well from a Portugese point of view it would mean Plutonic Lovers or Lovingly Plutonic. Being that it is an inspecific wording. I would assume that it is Plutonic Lovers or as some call it an Agape Love

It is Spanish. MUEVETE means to move around. But when is used in dancing the correct English translation will be to shake. For instance. (muevete mamita).= shake it honey.
