Eating just Cottage Cheese is okay but you are going to need more nutrition than just what it can give you.I don't think that it is due to if you get to malnourished then you will have to be hospitalized. And the results wouldn't be good. And when you stop that then you will gain all that weight you lost back

It depends on how long you fast. If you fast for more than a couple of days it will not be safe. If you are trying to lose a couple of pounds pretty quick then you will be ok. Just dont fast long term because we still need our 5 food groups that contain important nutrients.

fasting means to go without food. If you are just going to eat cottage cheese then you are going to get awfully constipated.

If You haven't given up anything, it's not fasting. If you are thinking the only thing for the day then I would take some multivitamins too.

You definitely missed the explanation of Fasting.

Fasting is the total absence of all food intake, not just limiting yourself to one or two varieties.

Also while Fasting (meaning absolutely no food intake), the intake of Water (only water) is permissible.
