that there are those christians who exibit prejudice against you for your religion, saying that since you dont worship their god you must worship satan
and then there are the "good" christians who dont judge, and accept you no matter what religion you are (an exeption maybe being satanist)
if christianity teaches the same values, then why are some christians more hateful, while others are kinder?

Because like in any "group" of people there are good and bad. When you come right down to it we are all human and no matter where you go there is going to be good and bad. You would think that it shouldn't be like that when the Bibles Golden Rule is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. or Judge not that you not be judged. But it happens. I believe that it is a lot better to be kind to a person and live your life as an example. That says a lot more than treating someone poorly just because you don't agree with their choices.

I am Christian and I wish I could answer your question.
The fact is, as in all things, there are those who see Christianity as opinion, rather than the love of their lives.

I have my opinions, of course, but to defend and attack is about as insane as attacking simply because you don't love who I love. In some cases, I'd just as soon you didn't. :)

Some folks, mean well but the fear of others suffering for no good cause, makes them fanatical. I understand but I also understand there will be those who will never find Jesus. It's just a fact of life.

We are to preach the gospel but we are not to jam it down people's throats. Actually, we are supposed to walk away if not readily received.

If I have any message for my fellow brethren, it's this: lead and do not follow. We are to be the salt of the earth. We are not here to insult or demand. We are here to let the light shine before man.

It's an old analogy. Standing in a garage doesn't make you a car. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian.

Sad that so many people feel the need to spend time cursing others. The bible states that Christians are supposed "think on things that are good, true, lovely, good report, virtue and praise." I would take that to mean "don't knock others down for the sake of knocking them down".

Why do kids from the same family turn out so different? One kid can grow up to do well, marry, have kids, a job, a home, while the other wastes his/her life away on one nighters, drugs, jail, etc. Being a part of a family does not guarantee that every member is going to represent what the family tends to stand for.

How did the dreams of Marx, who sought to free the laboring man, end up in a Stalinist totalitarian nightmare?

Some people take the label and the life.

Others just take the label and use it as they please.

The latter, in any positive philosophy (Positive in the sense that it ascribes a set of actions), always seems to outnumber the former.....or at least shout the loudest.

Chad: Your "why" should be "who". There are many people professing they are christians. Your object of your faith must be God who is holy and perfect. Listen to God by reading God's word so you can have reliable source of who are really true believers of Christ.

No two snowflakes are identical, yet they are part of the whole. Snowflakes are designed that way. No fault in that!

No two Christians are identical, yet they are still part of their religion. Christians are going through a growth process and are designed that way. No fault in that!

If a human being finds faults within other humans, they cannot establish "True Peace" within their lives. Remember this well!

This furthers my understanding, of what a wise man once told me: "The world is full of teachers, there are just not enough students to go around."
Thanks for the lesson, I'm grateful!

Tolerance. Tolerance doesn't mean kinder..................it means 'to kiss up' for the attitude of indifference. In Christianity if you love someone you tell them the truth. Chad think about it.

The truth is the Jesus is the only way. Not.oh that's fine believe in buddha and die and burn!
