That passage says women shouldn't speak in church. Can you help me find a passage(s) where it disputes that? In other words, where in the Bible does is justify women preachers? Thank you!

There are no scriptures to justify women preachers, song leaders or anything else when Christian men are present. Women should never usurp authority over men. That doesn't mean women can't teach others but if a Christian man is present, she shouldn't be speaking up and "running the show" in any way.

Women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching and helps. Much of the ministry of the church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted to public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only to having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians chapter 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the Gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15).

God has ordained that only men are to serve in positions of spiritual teaching authority in the church. This is not because men are necessarily better teachers, or because women are inferior or less intelligent (which is not the case). It is simply the way God designed the church to function. Men are to set the example in spiritual leadership – in their lives and through their words. Women are to take a less authoritative role. Women are encouraged to teach other women (Titus 2:3-5). The Bible also does not restrict women from teaching children. The only activity women are restricted from is teaching or having spiritual authority over men. This logically would include women serving as pastors / preachers. This does not make women less important, by any means, but rather gives them a ministry focus more in agreement with how God has gifted them.

Paul was warning the Corinthian women not to argue Christian points with the men, or confront the men in church. It was never meant that women could not speak in church. When this is read in Hebrew the word is debate more than speak.
You can find something to get mad about in any book. The bible never says women can't talk in church!!

All scripture must be taken with other scriptures, and you must study what this situation was about. The Corinthian women were uneducated and were asking silly questions which disrupted the church service. Paul elsewhere even in the same epistle/book to the Corinthians encouraged women to minister.

In my opinion......maybe even others......This/these passages simply that women are not to be considered "teachers" of men.......It plainly states that a woman is the weaker vessel. So.....does that mean that women dont teach at all? No, in an instance where there are no women to carry on the role that a man normally does, women are to teach but, however, their head should be covered. see 1Cor 11:1-16......In a nutshell.......it does not mean that women say ABSOLUTELY nothing in chirch...it is speaking of "teaching"

In the same letter.... 1 Corinthians 11:5 mentions women praying and prophesying in the church - and does not condemn it.

The Bible does not justify women preachers. In fact, makes it very clear that men are to have leadership roles. Not that men are better than women, they simply have different roles.

It's all a picture of Christ and the church. Just as Christ is the Head, so the man is the head (of the family, leadership positions in church, etc.).

These are "epistles" of the Apostle Paul to the various churches and their congregations. Evidently, the Corinthians had problems with their women being submissive.

Despite this fact, the New Testament in written in the "shadows" of Judaism and if you know Jewish law, women are not given "authority" within religion. The converts of the first century (Apostles and disciples) all happened to be Jewish "converts" and as such WROTE many things which intertwine with the Jewish faith. Paul tryed to put many Jewish disciplines within the "universal" faith Jesus (yeshua) taught which went AGAINST his teachings. So if you are one who "believes" in Jesus you would have to know HIM and not the misconceptions of someone who wrote his OWN perceptions of what women's roles ARE, of which Paul was not even close to the perceptions of all Jesus taught. What Jesus taught was NOT Jewish ways and is why much of what he said was mistakenly misperceived by his Apostles and even "Paul."

I don't think there is one. Women serve differently then men. I do not think there should be women pastors (pulpit) that doesn't mean they cannot contribute. Our roles are designed to be complimentary to one another. I just don't understand why people don't see the beauty in this and work together to nurture that beauty.
