And if so, are you happy with it? Or was it better to get braces to just fix one tooth? For example, a tooth that hasn't grown properly in place... and does the fake tooth look normal?

I have a crown but not for cosmetic purposes.

Yes, I have 2 crowns and they exactly like normal teeth. =)
No one would be able to tell if it is fake or not as long
as you get a good dentist that can match your tooth
coloring with the fake tooth. :) ahha

About half of my teeth have crowns on them and I have two small bridges. Getting them is expensive and painful but it's better than the alternative of a full set of dentures.

if u need on one a highly visable tooth like ur front teeth u should get braces.but on the back crown is better
