A real story of a Mother and her 11 year old daughter with their spirituality:
Mom: Lucy, come and have your dinner!
Lucy: Wait Mom, I haven't finished playing with Bobby.
Mom: Not again Lucy, aren't you too old to have imaginary friends? Now come and have your dinner
Lucy: Alright, but Bobby must also get his share.
Mom: That does it Lucy! This is getting way out of hand! Can you hear Bobby's voice? Can you see his body? So get over him already!
Lucy: But Mom, I have a personal relationship with Bobby. Yesterday I asked Bobby to help me out with my test at school, and I really passed! You wouldn't understand.
Mom: Enough Lucy!
Lucy: So why can you have an imaginary friend and not me?
Mom: What? I don't have an imaginary friend!
Lucy: So who are you praying to everyday?
Mom: That's Jesus honey.
Lucy: Can you hear Jesus' voice? Can you see his body? Should I tell you to get over him?

I'm still awaiting your "earth-shaking" eye-opener.
Was there a point to this, or only more Christian-bashing?
And how do you relate Bobby with Spirituality?

While I don't think the analogy's that great - the mother is _told_ to believe in Jesus whereas Bobby is the creation of Lucy's imagination - I really do love how some Christians go flustered and defensive over this.
Technically the argument is sound - you really can't criticise a child for having an imaginary friend when you believe that Jesus is 'looking out for you'.

Jude
chapter 1:4-7
4For certain men whose condemnation was written about[b] long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
5Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord[c] delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

So the voice of my conscience and bobby are the same? And I should disregard my conscience because it is on the same level as imaginary Bobby?

Hmmm...ive seen this in many forms....such as the teacher who pulled her student aside:
Teacher: Do you belive in God?
student: Yes.
Teacher: Well, do you see Him?
Student: no.
Teacher: Then hes not there.
The teacher sits down and so does the student...
Student whispering to another student: Do you see the teachers brain?
other student: No.
Student: then its not there...
I thought that was funny even though...technically if you opened up the head of the teacher the brain would be there...yeah...

What's the matter, honey, did a big bad Christian scare you? Is that why you're so obsessed with us?
