I know this is not a very good answer to your problem ... but...Sometimes cutting is one of the things that they look at when they think you have Borderline Personality...not aways, but more than not.

I would read " IMBROGLIO" ... it has a lot to do with self harm issues and is really a book about Borderline Personality Disorder. Check it out on Amazon, or look elsewhere for your answers as well as in this forum. But IMBROGLIO is what I suggest...It's a good read. See what / why you are doing this to yourself. I've been good for 11 years now (with one slip up) and *I* tell myself that it is NOT AN OPTION to cut so I need to heal myself...Not just he scars but what is going on in your head. Go or stay in therapy and then go through the issues of why you cut. Actually RUN to a good therapist...RUN RUN RUN!!!

This is the most I can offer for you. If you ever want to talk about it and how "I" stopped. You are more than welcome to email me @ bazimme@yahoo.com....I'm also on messenger so you could write to me there, my fine featured friend.Tell yourself you are a good person and try and work on some self esteem/anger issues. I could go on and on and on about all of this so if you please, give me a holler and maybe I can try to enlighten you about what you're going through and why and how you do these things that you do. Good luck and STAY SAFE...remember, Cutting is not an option!

Stay well, and I do hope that you will take me up on the offer of you emailing or IMing me.

Take care of yourself...it's ONE hour (or minute) at time for some of us...It can be hellish when you cut but relief after it or guilt after it as well. I wish the best to you!

Patricia McCormick wrote a wonderful piece of fiction about the subject. "Cut". The story is fabricated but the story is still very real at the same time. It's about the struggle toward recovery for a girl named Callie.
I highly recommend it.

I know a girl that use to cut on herself. She went through a lot of therapy. And she also takes medication for it. Her mother really went through alot with her. You should get some help, because this is really serious. I'm sure there are books out there but I don't personally know of any.

Try Amazon.com (self harm), or the chatsites/forums at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 16, or Groups, at Myspace (join, free), Google, or Yahoo.
